FAQ
Answers to the questions users ask most often.
This FAQ covers the practical stuff: what the queue means, why a job may fail, how previews work, and what to expect from mobile versus desktop sessions.
Why did my download fail?
A failed job usually means the source link was invalid, the remote media was temporarily unavailable, or the downloader could not process the video cleanly on that attempt.
In many cases, retrying the job is enough. If the failure keeps repeating, report the exact link and time so it can be checked properly.
Do previews play automatically?
No. RipRedGifs shows a visible paused preview state for completed videos so users can confirm the right file without being hit with motion or audio immediately.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. The public downloader flow is designed mobile-first, with stacked sections, full-width actions where helpful, and ratio-aware previews for portrait clips.
How long do completed files stay available?
Completed files are intentionally short-lived. RipRedGifs cleans them up automatically after the retention window so storage stays lean and old media is not left sitting around.
Why is the queue slower at some times?
Queue speed can change based on source responsiveness, file size, and temporary protection rules that keep the service stable during heavier traffic.
Can I paste more than one link at a time?
Yes. You can paste multiple RedGifs links in one session. RipRedGifs will extract valid entries, queue them, and keep their progress visible in one place.
